Arrow Leaked! G42 2 Series bumpers from Mexico factory

The new 2 series G42 front and back bumper style confirmed!
I think the mold already equipped in Mexico factory.

Nice find, grill looks to be proportional too. I always thought wider grills look better than taller ones.

I am hoping when it finally is shown that the M Sport version looks more like render 1 as opposed to render 2.
I do not like when the body coloured components do not come back together in the design.

It's not bad, but I am honestly a bit disappointed that it is somewhat plain and the overall theme is so similar to the FWD 1 Series sedan and 2 Series GC. BMW had the opportunity to take this vehicle in a completely new direction (CSL Homage Concept) and really went conservative.

Perhaps the G87 M2 will be significantly differentiated and borrow liberally from the aforementioned concept. Doesn't seem likely at this point, but we'll see.

So guessing Scott will now say only the M2 will have the hommage look?

Oh thank god. It's not going to have the stupid M3/M4/4 series grill. There looks to be hope for the next M2!

That's a totally left field and puzzling question, so here's a random answer: it'll only be available in Berlin and the Italian Alps, and only on Sunday unless its cloudy outside or you choose a blue exterior color.

I'm kidding, so here's my best honest answer:

There's no reason I can think of that the new M2 would be any less available anywhere in the world than the current M2. If you've got some specific knowledge that has caused you to ponder this question, then you might very well be smarter than me, so I'd defer to you in that case.

I can see where you are coming from in context of the CSL concept. In terms of the new 4-series and M4, I am so relieved to see this design. I will say though, what they do with the back and the rear windows will sell it for me one way or the other.

Why is BMW moving away from the mesh opening to now horizontal slats? It takes away the depth of the front fascia making it almost flat looking. This is an issue with the G22.

I couldn't agree more with what you said! When I first saw the leak I was hoping it was like a 1 series or something for the Chinese Market, but as the prototype cars started hitting the road and matched the leak I felt the same way about BMW dropping the ball. Was really hoping they would incorporate the CSL Homage concept for the 2 series but I guess they're going conservative.

I thought SCOTT26 hinted that the next 2er was going to closely follow the CSL Homage and that the elevator spy pic was a model for Asia? I'm a bit disappointed if that elevator pic ends up being the next 2er.

Yeah that's what I thought too. I sure hope he's right, if this is the G 2 series then it looks cheap a.f.

Agreed. For better or worse, I thought BMW was going with a new design language. Hard to believe they'll be introducing this car with the old design language in a couple years and then keeping it around for another 8 years... I mean the taillights have a near identical shape to the pre-LCI e90 lol. I'm still not totally convinced this is the new 2er unless, like you said, the M2 is radically different.
