Fold-down Rear Seat Convenience

Curious as to how often 6 GC owners fold down the rear seats to expand trunk space/storage. Do you do it often, infrequently, never...and if/when you do, is it convenient or a hassle to lower and raise the seat back(s)?

I have never folded mine down, but have used the ski bag.

More importantly, what a gorgeous interior!!!

This is a critical feature in any DD car IMO. In my first 4 months of my ownership, I've done it 3 times already. Everytime it was to pickup/drop off my family members for their international flights. The GC can fit 2 check-in size large suitcases and a carry on all in the trunk with one sitting on the fold down seat.

If you've folded down seats in another BMW, then the process will be familiar. The painful part is unlatching the center seatbelt. But I never carry 3 in the back anyways, so once I unlatched it once, it no longer gets in the way.

Thanks everyone for the input...especially the quote above. The unlatching of the center seat belt was the part of "folding-down" that I wondered was convenient or a pain in the butt. It appears not to be a big "pain in the butt"...just a little wrestling with the belt...but it can be left undone if not needed.

FYI, yes that is a beautiful interior (Opal White/Amaro Brown Merino leather)...but unfortunately its' not mine...that was an internet pic capture just to identify what I was asking about.

Mine go down every weekend to fit my road bike. Now that I got a new old beater SUV, that will stop, hated having to take both wheels off the bike so it would fit. I love the convenience. My previous A8 did not have it and was a feature i wished it had.
