Couldn't agree more... just bought a nearly new 640d M Sport Coupe with 2k miles on the clock for £40k.

Had a play on the configurator and with all the options specced on the car it would have cost £74k new. That's around 45% off new... I think that's amazing value.

In some cases the 640D GC is cheaper to buy than the 535D spec for spec. There are very few things really "necessary" for the 640.

I agree with the parking issue, mine always overhangs in the local Tesco carpark, easy to spot mind.

Also if you are running 20's you get used to the fact you have no profile on the tyres, and I need to refurb my wheels after only having the car since Feb (dam the woman who came charging down our road and clipped the front passenger alloy. Will get them sent off to Lepsons near the end of the year when my Winters are on.

Like others though if bought at full price mine was touching £78K, bought with 2,300 miles on (now has near 8,500 now since picking it up in Feb), bought for a little over £45K.

It depends though visually up front they do to anyone not buying them (or not aware of the level of discount), but very few people actually pay list price for them in the first place...

Case in point many on lease were getting the base price reduced from £65K to around high £40's, low £50's. Shoving a few £K of options on call it £55K.

Couple of years on the same car is mid 30's. The level of drop is far smaller than people actually realise, because of the above, if I had paid 60K+ for it I would have been crying to sleep, fact of the matter is no one pays the list price.

The only reason the list price is there is so that it sits nicely between the top end 5 and 7 series. Added to that is the level at which they sell which is fairly slow compared with say a 1,2,3 and 4.

Having driven a 530D F10 M Sport the only thing "better" was the ride, I personally thought that is more down to running 19's than 20's (interestingly that was on the new P Zero so I might put it on the 20's when they have worn out).

Going for brand new or on lease is a close run thing with the 6 really as the level of discount and most of all 0% offers can depending on circumstance make the AUC more expensive. I purchased mine outright, but the APR rate was huge (compared with the 0%) on mine when I looked around 8-11%.

Steering is a bit lighter - corners nice on the 20s, louder engine note, and seemed faster... go figure..no idea.

My 535 is a slug and similar year. Yep trading up - I need a low priced one for the devalue issue. Id also love an old 7 late... wow. But again - the loss is like 750 a month or more.

I'd have to agree with the guy on the video they are a great car which are in a class of their own. I have the coupe so it's a little shorter for parking but it's never a issue as I always park out the way on a end bay to avoid the idiots bashing it.
My opinion is they are a great all round gt car and it's probably the best car I've owned.

Agreed...bought mine with delivery miles for £44k in Jan 2016 from Stratstone Doncaster with a decent spec and 5 year service pack - list was £72k.
