It was a joke. I don't care what anyone drives so long as they enjoy driving it.

I laughed. This is a BMW forum so we are allowed to make opinionated sobby comments. That said, not a fan of Lexus or any other Japanese engineering. Nice cars, soft and boring.

I came across this whilst in the drive thru at McDonalds today…not the best pic as I missed the blacked out S badge on the lhs of the boot. He had just started to drive away by the time I’d noticed the badges, got my phone out of the centre consul, turned the camera on & took a pic.
I get why all the UFO/UAP pics aren’t the best

First time I have seen the M badge in such a unique place

In fairness I do think that some people, like maybe this guy, see the M badge as a sign of general enthusiasm for BMW rather than something denoting a specific model. If they like BMWs but don't participate in the "enthusiast" community they may not really even be aware of the whole M/not-M thing and aren't trying to pass their car off as something it isn't. I could see that being the case with this one – I think that the badge placement makes it a reasonable assumption that this isn't some effort to deceive. Anyone who knows enough to want to fake an M car would also be aware enough to know that no model has that badge placement.

Reckon because they are a disciplined conservative culture. The engineering will make everything else around it look unreliable. Got a 2016 Prius C with 270k km on it and its cost me 3k in servicing since x demo purchase.

But if you want looks, you need a loose RPM loving culture.

BMW's are a labor of love and you have to be a glutton for punishment to appreciate the upside, well, let me rephrase, be able to afford the cost of the upside.

I have 2-4 BMW's in the stable at any given time, but my daily is usually a boring Japanese car. I just traded in a 2015 Infiniti QX60 that I took delivery on new in 2014. Twelve years and I did nothing to it except change the oil, brakes and tires. 140k miles, same plugs, radiator, alternator, belts, original battery, etc. Not one CEL in twelve years. Unheard of in a BMW. You sneeze too hard and you get a CEL.

But man, that QX60 was soft as a marshmallow with body roll of a school bus.

But sometimes you so so want to. I mean you are are almost melting over the lines, but you know if you touch it a bomb is going to go off with unimageable fall out.

It's why I tell the son shop for a Corvette Stingray not a Lamborghini, and play hard while your young and free.

The candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long.

And is probably going to burn down your house, scratch her name into your hood, and sleep with that douche over in Accounting, too. But it might be worth it...

haha I worked with a guy who's car had been t boned. It was the wife making the doors hard to open for that new bitch.

Another bloke I would drive past every day, took 2 years to clean the paint off his car.

And I worked on a house where the guy replaced the carpets, curtains and painted the walls in an attempt to remove the rotten sea food smell, only to discover all the ceiling fan cups had been packed with prawns.

But......it "may" have been worth it
