Was always a dream to own an M6, my dream car. Finally happened last week. (Will take better pictures as time goes on)

2016 Singapore Grey Coupe. Excited to be a part of this forum officially.

Any M6 owners in the DC/MD/VA area?

Nice! Hope to connect with you at some point, not too far away. For right now, just enjoying it. I'm sure some kind of mod bug will hit me, but it's plenty of power for me right now.

Welcome! Originally from the DMV myself, travel down in the M every once in a while, hopefully we can all do a meetup post pandemic!

Congratulations! There are a few of us in the DMV. I am in DC, and I once saw an F06 M6 on 16th ST with DC tags. One of the guys at the inspection station on Half Street told me he'd seen one M6 other than mine, and he thought that was it for DC. There are a few guys on here from Virginia, too.

The only other time I have seen an M6 was two weekends ago on River Road. Might have been MMMM6GC if he is based in Gaithersburg.

If you see an F06 SGM over SO, that's me.

@Mandrake I'll be in a SMB Gran Coupe with a license plate close to my username - I'm often around the germantown/gaithersburg/silver spring area so it's possible it was me!

Nice! Love that SMB. I'll be sure to honk. I get out that way many weekends for family hikes and walks. Plus those awesome roads near White's Ferry and Edward's Ferry.

As a lot of the DC/MD/VA owners have posted on here - is there anyone running after market performance upgrades (DPs, exhausts etc)? Would love to hear some in person before dropping $$$ on parts!

In a recent interview (I think it was on The Drive), Steve Dinan said that below 700 HP there were 2 or 3 HP difference. He questioned many of the claims of "mega" power gains from cat deletes.

If you're referencing the added performance value of exhaust/dps/tune etc, I'm only interested in improving the sound of the car, the stock performance is good enough for me!

@kris1858 - are you planning on attending any local cars&coffee type events in the near future?
