I agree with you 100% for this platform because I have the 305/30/20 on H&R sport springs and it hooks with no problem with my DME Tuning tune. But I think in most other cars the Conti SportContact 6 are a pretty good next option for the Pilot Sport 4S. I tend to shy towards whichever is on sale because they are just that good (Conti's are just better in the wet and PS4S is godly in the dry)

Just changed my rear MPSS TO MPS4S 305/30/20. The difference is massive especially in the wet. I didn't change the front tyres because all the 4 MPSS were brand new and would wait till its necessary to change

The Continentals are 8/10th the performance of the PS4S, for about 6/10th of the price. I would get PS4S over Continentals any day of the week though. And I would find it hard to believe that the Continentals are better in the wet than Michelin, but I haven't extensively driven a car with the Continentals in the wet - so I cannot say that definitively.

How old were the super sports? Those haven't been manufactured for some time now, except in special order cases. The PS4S will be quite a drastic change in wet performance for you.

the MPSPs are very very new. Less than 2 months'. Less than 10 miles on them. I still have the MPSPs in the front

You can still buy MPSPs in the UK

I have also changed the rear factory fitted MPSPs on my m240i to PS4 (no PS4s for the the 255/35/18 size in the UK).

The handling in the wet has dramatically improved but probably due to slightly wider width (10mm wider) as well.

The MPSPs are borderline dangerous in the wet. I had two near misses with my m240i on them during last year's winter
