They are nice for sure. Will you leave them chrome or paint them black/dark?

This is my current dilema, i will be wrapping the rear valence in dry look carbon, will make the decision then. I do kinda like them chrome more than i thought i would, im planning on blacking the roundels out and debadging the 640d lettering also

for debadging.

Chrome fits well with dark paint colors in my opinion whereas less if the car was white. This way it's more elegant, dark paint makes it more race style but still discrete on a car like the 6 series. For the rear part I will face the same dilemma too though I've decided to postpone until next spring where I will also consider the original M Performance diffusor. I'm curious how the carbon wrap will look and it will be a cheaper (price) solution which will likely look as good as original carbon material if applied well and if the material used is worthy.

I programmed my garage door opener. And looking for a way to fix my side cameras since the previous owner decided to "fix" the front bumper because it had rock damage and had it painted. Well, the painter painted over the cameras, not to mention did a horrible job with masking.

cheers, for anyone interested in the tips its these ones,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exhaust-P...53.m1438.l2649

i have to admit good quality for the money, there is some considerable modification / grinding needed to get these to fit niceley lol, i used 67mm exhaust hangers, drilled holes through the bottom of the tip, cut some of the top (and bottom) to get it like below, finished off rattle canning the inside and underneath black

Great work! interested in the carbon valance wrap as thinking of doing something with mine but had issues in the past with spoilers etc wrapped peeling and bubbles in the past due to our fabulous weather climate!

Another option that may be available to you is hydropipping the valence in 4D carbon, looks great and very durable.

how easy is it to remove the chrome strip on the door handle and do you need 3m double tape to reinstall?

Did you measure and cut the diffuser yourself? Or order one accordingly?

You don't need to remove the chrome. Apply the vinyl, work it until it is smooth over the chrome, then use an exacto knife to carefully trace the outside of the chrome. Take it slowly and be careful going around the ends of the chrome. Once it is cut, peal the excess off. Last step is to use something like a letter opener (something rigid and flat) to put some pressure on the cut edge of the vinyl to make sure it adheres to the chrome.

Once you do the first one (took me 3 tries) the other handles take less than 5 minutes each.

Just a little color to break up the grey/black tones of the dash. Took the path less traveled and went with blue instead of red. Would like to see a carbon fiber option one day.

hmmmm. It looks not bad but I find it a bit too loud. It looks like a duck tail from behind. From the side it looks ok.

I agree with Havy on the carbon spoiler his opinion is spot on for me too. For me it' s a bit too noticeable and thus too filling on that trunk. From a side perspective though I would say it looks really cool and makes for a completely different impression.
I wonder how the dimensions compare (height / thickness) to the original M Performance carbon spoiler.

No...they are not the same...the most noticeable difference is the f12/f13 trunk lid/boot lid has the 3rd brake light incorporated into it...whereas the f06's 3rd brake light goes across the upper rear windshield. I'm not sure if the other dimensions are the same...the hinges and gas strut/springs are also exclusive to the f06 which probably means something is different.

I wonder if the 2-dr coupe & verts incorporated 3rd brake light makes the rear spoiler appear different?
