Bmw E64 645 ci
Hello Guys , i have a transmission problem in my bmw E64 645 ci . It's slipping between the 3rd and 4th gear . Here's what i tried so far :
- changed oil and the filter with That double squared seal then reset the adaptations and went for a test drive it's still the same . - changed the whole transmission with another one same part# , reset the adaptations and still the same problem! - I bought another TCM/EGS same part number then coded it and still the same ! - i also tried something maybe it will help for a solution : the car is in a steady position, i put it into the tiptronic mode , i shift up from 1 to 3 everything is good after that if i put it on 4 or 5 or 6 it goes back to the 3rd gear . Anyone knows or experienced this before ? |

Your question raises a question I have always had about this forum - not this sub-forum but all of Bimmerpost. Although this sub-forum is supposed to be general 6 series questions, the fine print says it's about the F12/F13/F06. And sure enough, it is only those owners who participate here. But if you go to the forum list above, there is no forum for your car. For other series the forums cover models for 20 years. It's like they forgot about the 6 series before 2012. I honestly do not know where owners of your car exchange info. Bimmerfest has a forum, but its F12/F13 forum is like a cemetery. Maybe its older forum is more active.

Ditto Opie55...give BimFest's & BimForums's e63/e64 forum a shot...they have some fresh posts from the last couple of weeks...so there are a few active members:

Low volume, high price cars tend to have less active online communities (my experience having owned a 645ci and 740i lci). What the op could do is search the e60 forums since the transmission is shared with the 545i.
