NBT Evo and trunk mess

Hi there!
Does anyone have an experience with retrofitting NBT Evo in 6er 2013-2015? What does it cost and what parts did you use?

Another question, no hooks or holders in the trunk. Do you use any aftermarket? All my stuff in the trunk goes back and force during riding.

Evo retrofits have been covered extensively in several threads, so I'd start with a search.

In short, if you have CIC installed you will need HU, Display, Audi Amp, Antenna Amp, controller, handwriting module (if you want it) and retrofit module to convert the can signals (unless you do what I did and re-wire the car and update the ZGW)

If you have NBT you will need HU, display converter cable (unless you want to replace the display) and a retrofit module (or rewire as above).

If you are doing this purely to get Carplay then you'd be much better off just getting an interface box. It's cheaper, easier to install and less destructive.

There are two “lashing eyes” on each side of the trunk (#13/#14 in the 1st diagram below) which you can attach bungee cords to…and the luggage compartment net (#6 in the 2nd diagram below) which I think has metal clips/holders on each side of #5 that you may be able to attach a bungee cord to and possibly attach to one of the lashing eyes. Also take a look upward to the area below the rear parcel shelf. Check there to see if there are openings or something you can latch onto or thread a bungee cord through…which again may allow you to facilitate securing items with the lashing eyes and the “net” at the rear of the trunk.

Clip #7 which holds the rear net #6 is not very robust. After breaking and replacing two of them, I just drilled two small holes either side of the loop and ran a small zip-tie around the frame of the net. Have not had a failure since.

good input to actual experience.

I also forgot to mention that there’s also a larger trunk net that is available…you can get the part number from the database and order online or order it from your local BMW dealership’s parts department:

That net is so strange solution. If you put something you do not have flat floor any more))) I would prefer to have my bags stand with hooks.

Here’s a direct link to the bimmercat part database. You had no vehicle model year listed…so I generically selected an LCI M6: https://bimmercat.com/bmw/en/search/...M6/USA/51_8185

Click link above and scroll down to item #7 in the part number index below the diagram. Once you have the 11 digit BMW part number…you can search for it on line (ie type BMW xx xx x xxx xxx into a google/internet search box)…or you can ask your local BMW dealership to lookup the part number. They may have it in stock or may have to order it…either way, you can always ask them if they price match if it is cheaper on line. Even if they cost a little more…you may still be able to save some $$ if it will cost less paying their price + local taxes versus the lower cost + shipping & handling by purchasing online.

Good luck.

I installed complete system B&o in my BMW F06 and I am not at all happy with the sound. HK Top HiFi was better I think. Though Movies sound great but music did not like at all.
