I think that is generally true, but RWD makes it much easier to swallow.

I recently bought a 2016 f13 640i with 64k miles , m sport as well , one thing that got me messed up was that maybe around 3 weeks in there’s was a leak around the driver side front wheel . The shop I got the car from didn’t seem they knew what they were doing , so I had my good bmw mechanic check it out and turns out oil filter housing gasket was the culprit . He wanted to clean everything up and check afterwards to see if oil pan gasket was leaking as well , I still had both replaced along with spark plugs and coolant flush (previous dealership had a different/not bmw recommend brand) . If u want an idea of how much that costed me total we’re talking roughly 2.5-3k depending on shop/mechanic . Mind you this car had 2 owners one in Ventura which sees a lot of sun and one closer to me by corona and surprisingly no sun damage which is cool especially the dash I just bought a sunshade cover to make sure it helps
