2015 640i starting problem

Hi!

I have a 2015 640i with about 85k miles and it's been having trouble starting if the engine is hot. If the engine is cold it starts up right away. If I drive it and park and restart the car it has a hard time starting when I push the start button. It eventually starts but struggles. If I wait a couple minutes it starts right up.
Any ideas what might be the issue?

Thanks

No too familiar with this car as much but on other cars that's the sign of a failing crank sensor

So I changed the crankshaft sensor and still having th same problem.

When the car is cold it starts drive it around to normal operating temperature. Turn off car go to the store for about 10min come out and the car won't start. Wait 30min and the car starts fine. All the electronics is getting power.

Battery is good next I'll look at the starter? Any ideas?

Thanks

I had 1994 corvette with the exact same problem. Turned out to be a cracked head. Had that replaced and it fixed it.

Have you scanned it with something that can read all BMW codes to see if it records any wonky readings?

It ended up being the battery. So replaced that and no more issues.
