F10 M5 Wheels on F12 for Snows

Hi,

I've searched but not found a straight answer. I want to put a set of F10 5-series wheels (8.5Jx19 front ET33 rear ET44) onto my F12 M6 competition (Currently wearing 9.5Jx20 ET31 front 10.5Jx20 ET19 rear).

Will this fit? Has anyone done this? It seems some say yes, and some say no.

Yes, I know they're narrower, and that's the point. This will be for winter, and being a bit narrower will be better for snow. I don't care if they're perfectly flush with the fender.

I _think_ they will fit but not 100% sure.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Input the tire & wheel info for each axle (old/front vs new/front…the old/rear vs new/rear) at the following link to a wheel/tire calculator: www.willtheyfit.com

The front you probably wont have issues with….for the rear, you’ll need the info from the calculation given at the site linked above to determine if you’ll have any issues with inset (wheel to close to the suspension). If you clear the suspension and have no issue with the possible decreased “poke” (wheel’s distance from the fender)…then you’re probably good.

You may need a spacer for the rear…but do the calculation at the site to verify.

Thank you... This site is by far the most clear for running the calculation. You are right. Front is fine, rear is iffy or might need a spacer. I'm rethinking my plan.

The wheels will still clear on the inside but I do think a 15mm spacer would make sense.

Yeah, I think you may be right. I know they're fine but I don't love the idea of spacers.
