Cosmetic Differences between 650i and M6?

Hi all,

What are the real cosmetic differences between a F06 650i M Sport Gran Coupe and a F06 M6 Gran Coupe?

Other than the carbon roof, body kit, wheels, brakes, wider tyres being the main obvious cosmetic differences. Are they any other cosmetic differences?

Are the front fenders and rear quarters the same on the M6 and the 650i?

fenders are different... (different vents on the front). You basically mentioned just about everything on the car as a cosmetic difference...

Are the front fenders of the M6 wider than the 650i's front fender? And are the rear quarters the same for the M6 and the 650i F06?

This is brilliant, didn’t realise the differences were so significant. And naturally, on top of the visual differences comes all the materials used, and technology. I was initially looking for a 650i M Sport, but after having seen and driven M6, the 650i was just a nice car, but nothing special like the M6...

I was in the same boat... went from looking at a 650i M sport and ended up buying an M6 10 hours later

wow, thanks for the gif. It's interesting that the M sport is not that much different than the M6's body. I noticed the rear bumper on the M sport is almost the same as the M6

A used 650i just doesn’t make sense when M6’s are so cheap in the UK. The M6 is more reliable too.

It’s a no brainier.

Thanks for the GIF. Truly amazing.

On a sidenote, basically you can get M6 wheels, M6 front bar, M6 rear bar and diffuser and M6 front fenders on the 650i and the 650i will basically look like a M6 with sunroof?

Where would one find those sorts of images? I'd like to make a similar animated GIF for the 6-er Coupe and 'Vert, but I'd need the source files.

You can go to BMW USA or BMW Germany and enter "build your vehicle" to get those images.

Btw, I've made some more gifs for you guys, if anyone is interested: https://goo.gl/photos/tdyBduG3HGuaLPDs7

I'm quite enjoy watching those comparison, and sometimes the differences between normal version vs M-Sport vs M amazes me.

Yes, also you need a bigger brake, and spacer?

Nope, they are the same. Typically BMW and Mercedes seem to do a wider front but leave the rear the same.

Different animals. Totally. 650 is a good looking car, but if you want people pull over when see you in rear view mirror, go for m6gc

Lol, what? 99.5% of the motoring public cant tell the difference between a 640/650 msport and an M6 from the front.
