650i Msport Rear bumper cover to a base model 650i coupe
Hi all. I cant find the old post, talked about what Im trying to do.
I bought a used 2013 650i msport rear bumper cover for my 2013 Non Msport (base) 650i coupe. I know it will fit however I thought someone mentioned that the rear mounts (3 total, rear left/right and rear center mounts) have to be changed. I wanted to make certain before I make the purchase on the mounts. A little confusing why they would need to be changed (if they do) because the cover doesnt actually mount to those mounts. |

I don't now the answer to your question, but I'm also skeptical that anything needs to be changed. But if it were me, since removing a bumper cover is pretty easy I would simply remove it and confirm for myself if it fits.

You could also go to RealOEM.com and plug in the last 7 places of your VIN and find the mounts you are talking about. If there are different ones it will show both in the table below the parts diagram. It will say something like "For car with MSport bumper YES" or "For cars with MSport bumper NO". Those won't be the exact words, but that's the gist of how they do it. But if there is only one part number then you are good.

You have to change the two side mounts as they have different part numbers on the M-sport version vs the std version.
The bumper cover DO attach to these mounts as it snaps and locks the cover in place with these mounts. Just did the same conversion myself. Did not change the rear mount, just the two side ones. |
