Would you buy this car. What's wrong with it.

Interested in stepping up to an m6 former m3 and 335i owner. Do all my own maintenance. Only interested in black on red and they're rare but this car has been on market for a while . Is it just the mileage that's scaring away buyers or another glaring issue I can't see. Thanks 👍 |

The frontend doesn’t look like it’s in great condition but the interior still looks good though. Also it doesn’t have the LED headlights. Based on the carfax report, it looks like it’s been dealer maintained, however the 1,200 miles service didn’t occur and one minor front end accident. Well, if you think that is a good deal for you. I would definitely do PPI first.

thanks for replies. yes the interior looks flawless, the front bumper looks like it was beat to hell on the highway surely. these cars are so rare to find in the right configuration so a tough call for me. didn't catch the non led headlights. ive seen those reports. being dumped at an auction scares me off a bit as well. i plan on doing rod bearings on any used m6 i purchase in my price range, and will always have money set aside for engine rebuild as these forums have scared me a bit.

Rod bearings really aren't necessary on these cars, but the high mileage certainly can be scary. 100% recommend getting a pre purchase inspection done by a BMW dealer or local high end euro shop at the very least. If you're willing to be open on colors there are certainly better deals out there though; I bought my 2013 last month with less than half of those miles (42k) for $39,500. Has every single option less carbon ceramic brakes & night vision. Clean Carfax, 1 local owner, local trade in at the BMW dealer, all service intervals on time and was rarely at the dealer for anything other than that. They did a full service when I bought it including plugs, oil change, all filters, rear diff service and new front pads.

Looks like its light on some options, but did get the comp package
https://bimmer.work/vin/d0f1be8ad691...11401733a10b4/ https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check...LX9C5XED160450 I don't think it would be for me at that price but if you can talk them down a bit its a nice deal. |

I would buy one with lower miles. The money you’ll save by going with higher mileage won’t matter when things start breaking also the values drops like crazy once you over 100k miles. Plus non led headlights look way worse in person so eventually you’ll want to swap those headlights. Find a 2013 with half the miles for 5k more trust me you’ll get more than that 5k back when u want to get rid of it.

I bought this car a few weeks ago; it was the only 14' or '15 with the Competition package that I could find in California (that wasn't big money). Once I realized the difference of comp versus non-comp I had to go with the package. Old school non-LED headlamps have been updated with blue bulb by the previous owner so they look pretty good, and remind me of my old 335i.
It needs a TON of cosmetic work. I had the paint correction and ceramic coating done yesterday, tint is being redone today. New Pilot Sport 4S tomorrow (rears 305), new wheels and powder-coated calipers next week. Wish me luck! |

If you need to ask you should pass. That's the best advice I can give. I turned in 3 m6s and glad I did!! Hard to not be impulsive when you see these in person haha |
