Side Vent Removal?
Looking to get replacements here and would love to NOT have to take to a shop. Plenty of tutorials on front grille removals, are the side vents as simple as just pulling them off? The Chrome has got to go!

I removed all the screws and pins on top and bend the front slightly towards me until I get my hand / arm between radiator and front bumper. Than you can feel the clips which you press and than you can remove the grill to the front.

That will be my approach... was just digging through that site and was amused by the simplicity. I suppose if all the clips are facing up and you push up, it could actually release as diagram, but not interested in finding out!

OR you could make your own! These are the autotecknic purchased from creative motoring. Searched long and hard - INDs are pieces bonded on oem parts, which is whAt i did for 180 bucks. Bought them through creative motoring (get the 1x1 pattern to match roof, they also come in a 2x2), grab some plastic clear epoxy from depot for 8 bucks and bond away. You could 3m them also but they dont advise going through car washes. These are now permanent!!
I did remove them first and took my time indoors... https://autotecknic.com/products/dry...ible-f13-coupe |
