Replaced Cabin Filter easy job
It was an awkward but easy job.
1. Unscrew (20mm torx) two bolts holding under glove box tray, remove small screw holding carpet pad running along side console. Pull out tray. 2. Undue 4 screws holding bottom of filterr box, remove rubber hose on left, pull out two filters. 3. Mine were 3 years/37k miles old. One had air flow to engine, one to interior. 4. Install new filters, with air flow towards interior. 5. Breath clean air again.

Cabin Air Filter
Hey do you recall the model # for the cabin air filter for your 6 series? Saw your post and am planning to change mine.

There are two types...there's the filters that have activated charcoal (helps eliminate odors) and there's just the plain particulate filters...you can select/shop for whichever type you want for your personal application. Once you have the 11 digit BMW part number...then just shop using that number (i.e. Type BMW xx xx x xxx xxx into a internet/google search box).
