Simon has stated that this is still in the works.. although no ETA was provided; there is a delay with the manufacturer regarding parts, due to lockdowns in china.
He has also sent his apologies regarding the delay and the emails he hasn’t had a chance to respond to.

What's going on fam?!

So with COVID having shut China down again, this took a lot longer than we thought it would but I have good news and bad news.

I will lead with the good news:

The factory is online again and Simon from KYCS has negotiated the terms of the 1st OLED GTS Taillight order.

Factory is going to perform all aspects of production end to end for creation, testing, and assembly of the new units. Production time is 100 days. Lights will come with a 1 year warranty. Cost should be ~$800/pair (still trying to calculate shipping and import taxes to confirm) + domestic shipping for the initial run, retail will go up once listed on the KYCS site.

Here's the bad news:

Minimum order is now 200, not 100 lights. Development cost is a lot more than a route that Simon was going to go where they ordered internals and did the tooling themselves. He just doesn't have time to take that on so he is arranging for the factory to do everything, which is a lot more initial cost.

$50k would need to go toward the factory as a deposit, and we would either need to split that up between the 200 people ($250/person) OR I am going to have to wait until I close a few big real estate loans and put the money up myself.

Currently, we have 120 people interested but I didn't post on the 6 series forums because I thought we only needed 100.

I'm going to keep pushing and will get this out to the 6 series forums today to keep building our list. I have faith that it's only a matter of time before we make this happen!

Yeah 120 ppl who are down to buy them once they're ready though lol. The issue is getting everyone to pay upfront and then wait forever, which I totally understand.

This is going to happen one way or another. Just a matter of time!
