While the regular M6 models are fitted with 19-inch wheels as standard, the
Competition package includes two-tone 20-inch wheels and four black exhaust tips while inside the car there is no difference at all. However, there was an exclusive limited edition Competition especially for the US with a series of special engraved details both outside and inside which can be seen in the link below : https://www.bmwblog.com/2015/09/15/2...orld-premiere/

I decoded the vin from my 2014 M6 and it says it has the option 7MA Competition package. It doesn’t have any Competition badge but did noticed the black exhaust tips.
Could the badge be from certain year model going forward? |

The competition badging never existed for the M6 aside from the gaudy competition edition.
you're not gonna find the badging for it unless you add it yourself under the standard "M6" badge

2016 M6 Competition Edition -- 100 were sold in the US. Here is a picture of mine. I currently own a 2018 M6 Vert with competition package and there are no badges to indicate such.

I own a 2015 F06 with the competition package as well. There is no badging anywhere to indicate that the car is equipped with the competition package.
Did some quick research and this is what I've gathered: - The competition package differs from the competition edition which was the 100 unit run of M6 coupes named the M6 Coupe Competition Edition and announced in 2015. Those 100 units had the markings noted by Qsilver. However it looks from the press photos like these cars did not have "Competition" on the rear badge. - There were also the M2 Competition and M5 Competition. Both were announced in 2018 and both did have "Competition" in the rear badge as the model name included the word Competition. Similar to the CS/L models that say so on the badge because it's part of the model name. - No Competition Edition was made for the M3 and M4 - they had competition package options - and therefore no M3 Competition or M4 Competition rear badge came OEM. So I believe if you see anything other than an M2 or M5 with "Competition" on the rear badge it's just after market tomfoolery, equivalent to putting "MCCB" or "Executive" or "Parking Assistance" under the rear badge. Thanks for the correction and additional info especially explaining the comp package vs the comp package edition.
