Looking to Buy

Hi, i'm looking to buy a 640D in the next couple of months. Hoping to get one age 2012- 2015 with under 60K miles.

I was hoping to find out if there is any common issues with these cars? Recalls that i should check have been done? Just general stuff to check when viewing different cars.

I am a newbie here, but I just went through the 16 pages of DTM (drive train malfunction). While this was not targeted mainly to the 640d, I thought the last 5 pages or so had a few that experienced this.

Might be worth a quick run through.

recalls there is an EGR just issued in october, but to TBH the 640d (touchwood) seems pretty bullet proof

Mine too was bomb proof, issues will be more electrical and software related in my view, either way buy with AUC warranty and newest model your budget allows. Spec important too, A must for me is

20" alloys
H&K sound
Facelift model
Sunroof
Msport
Comfort seats
Privacy glass
Comfort access
Soft close doors
Decent colour, black, grey, white

Thanks for the responses. I have approx. £20K to spend looking for 2013 onwards (facelift i believe?) M sport with 20" wheels, black or grey with under 50K miles.

HUD too if you can find it.

I don't think i can drive a car without one now

HUD definitely saved me a few speeding tickets.......
