Black m performance side vinyl
Just recently installed this on a white F06 and love the look. Easy application if you take your time.
Very small difference but I feel as though it gives it a more aggressive side profile. Here is the link to the ebay product I purchased if you're interested. https://m.ebay.com/itm/Car-M-Perform....c100675.m4236 |

ehhh....vinyl, not my style. It's like you're trying too hard.
601 wheels, I approve. I thought generally M wheels will stick out too much on the rear? I believe fitment will work with no rubbing. The only concern would be the debris that gets kicked up and whether the staggered look with no wide fenders would look odd.

Normally I'm not a fan of black wheels but damn, those would look good with your theme.

It's my understanding the M6 rear fenders on a GC is the same as the 650i.... Am I wrong? |

The rear fenders on the 640/650 are the same as M6 but the axle width and suspension are different, which is why M6 wheels don’t fit 640/650.

Hmmm...this modification appears to do what BMW use to do on many models back a few generations when many models had "black skirts" (rocker panels).
The black rocker panels give a "slimming" affect to the site-lines of the car...especially on lighter color models. I always preferred the e38 7 series that had the black "skirts" because they looked slimmer/sleeker vs the 01 e38 that got body colored skirts. To me, the 01 e38 looked "chunky" whereas the 95-00 looked sleeker. This mod seems to do the same for the F06. |

I'm going to pull the trigger on the 601's and use my Dunlop RF's at 245/275 until tread is gone. I know I'll be sacrificing rim protection but no point in getting rid of decent tires. From everything I've read, I should go with a 255/285 set up on the next step. I also plan to paint or power coat the calipers blue to have something stand out. Trying too hard if I do that? Thoughts? |

Im not a fan of the stormtrooper look, but after you put on those black pieces, you gotta change the wheels.
Personally, doing virtually anything to a car requires a change from stock wheels. Stock wheels only goes with fully stock car |

Go for the blue calipers if you want. They look good! Can also get high temp ///M stickers to go on them as well from eBay. |

Ok, so I get the wheels tomorrow and looking for tires. I noticed recently my front left Dunlop Sport Maxx GT Run Flat tire has two spots in the side wall that are extruding out. Is this tire safe to drive on? I assume it came from a pothole
I have the 650i 245/275 setup now and thinking I would just move those tires over to the 601 Wheels which are 9" Front and 10" rear. Assuming it would be stretched. So I can either replace the one tire, approx $410, and stick with the 245/275 or get the 255/35/20 295/30/20 setup Choices would be for the 255/295: BRIDGESTONE POTENZA S-04 POLE POSITION ($1,085.84 for Fronts and Rears) CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT SPORT ($998.14) FIRESTONE FIREHAWK INDY 500 ($680), I had these on a Lexus GS F sport and they seemed nice. Any advice? And I wont have any rubbing on factory suspension right? |

CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT DWS Tires, same as stock size 275/30/20 rear and 245/35/20 Front. Could not be more happier, ride is quieter and softer. Plus gives me all season traction for NY Streets. I went on ebay and found 1 373m wheel for $200 i took my best run flat front tire and threw it in the trunk as a spare in case i get a flat. |

I just dropped the 601s off to get powered coated gloss black. The paint on the wheels was coming off with a finger nail and I wanted the brand new look.
I'm crazy particular and I knew it was going to bug me. The wheels are going to look great with the gloss black throughout. Plus the hardness of the coat will help with ease of cleaning. 2 of the wheels had a slight bend to them so he is fixing that too. I also pulled the trigger on the 255/35/20 and 295/30/20 Continental extreme sport tires set up. My Dunlops are still decent tread but I'm going to throw them up in the closet for when I sell the car. Unless someone wants some 373 20" M sport wheels in silver OEM. In addition to some hub centric spacers 12mm F and 17mm rear. Nonetheless, thank you all for the guidance. I'll post the final product pics mid next week. |
