Lambda probe upstream error

Getting an engine check light on these errors related to the lambda probe upstream - catalytic converter... any assistance or help on what would or could be the fix or issue would appreciate it... this keeps toggling the engine light even after clearing the error on info memory - using bimmerlink...

If one of the upstream sensors is bad, change both of them. It is fairly straight forward. If you run it too long with a bad sensor, it could damage your cat converter as well.

Very little material to reference on YouTube on identifying bank 1 and 2 and upstream or downstream sensors... trying to familiarize myself.

We have a total of 4 sensors. On the f06 I am finding tow part numbers:

See attached. Are these two sensors unique or the same? As in upstream and downstream x2 to cover both banks?

11787576673 are the ones closest to the turbo charger outlet, UPSTREAM of the catalytic converter.(pre-cat)
11787539137 is the one after (DOWNSTREAM of) the catalytic converter.
The fault codes refer to the pre-cat lambda probe, part number 11787576673.
The pre-cat probes are critical to engine performance and catalytic converter life.
hope this helps.

Bank 2 driver side if I'm following correctly. Thanks for your help on this!

Bank 2 is on the left side from the driver's perspective. I made the mistake once by saying driver side to someone from the UK. (Your location is not listed)
good luck and enjoy
