What were the conditions like before you got this message? ie driving car hard, weather? I have bootmod 3 stage 2 (93/94oct) with downpipes and I have never had this issue.

Driving car hard. To clarify, got on it hard 3 or 4 times within a couple minutes. Weather was cool.

Just did it again, took off from maybe 60-90, came on and then gone in 5 seconds.

Someone mentioned a sensor, maybe from down pipe getting hot? I have no idea.
So maybe I need a transmission cooler or ssp spec r clutches

Just curious what the cause may be?

Car is new to me so I’m open to suggestions

Called the shop, they said either clutch sensor or new clutches, making around 650 ft lb

Think I’m gonna bite the bullet and do ssp’s

Sucks wanted to take it on a road trip
It’s fine if I don’t drive it hard but I don’t wanna risk it

That is very wierd the DCT is good to 700ft/lb crank. On a side note with the set up you have and I do too avoid going WOT in 1,2,3 gear as you will have no traction in those gears and will likely break something down the line due to the massive torque this motor makes at very low rpm….the sweet spot is 4th and 5th gear just fyi…..things can get very expensive very quickly on these cars lol

As a side note as well following the above as far as WOT will also save you from bending a rod in the lower gears….

I try to limit my WOT to 3rd and 4th gears. Hitting it hard in second gear will spin tires and increase potential issues and 5th gear is just too damn fast for me. Third gear seems to be the sweet spot from about 50 to 100 mph.

Look at Deka clutches as an option. There are folks on the 5 and 6 forums that have recently had some problems with their ssp clutches. The team at Evolve also started using deka. Clutches are in my future as well and I'll likely have my TCU tuned as well.

I’d try the Xhp trans tune to see if that helps

Getting SSP clutches. Not sure what the issue is here, but I feel better having them than not. Will also ask the shop about the tune. Anyone done a cooler on theirs?

You can upgrade the pan, BMS sells a high cap billet model that should assist with cooling slightly.
