Yes I follow you. Though I do not possess an M6 I know the great numbers those beasts are capable of pulling and how hard it must be to control the car in certain situations. They certainly look cool those tires especially if you live in a sunny climate area where winters are mild at worst. How do they handle with rain and cooler conditions?

which tire i must get? 315 nitto NT05 or NT01? what different?
hows the noise of the tires?

i have 305 PS4S now and they are very comfortable and no noise but looking for better grip so going with nitto 315 but which one ?

I have driven in the rain a few times on them as it does not rain much here in Southern California and have had no issues with them. I assume that as they wear down and you lose the depth of the tread it may become a problem in the rain but so far I have had no issues. I buy the tires once a year and I buy them in the winter so they are new through the rainy season.

The NT01 is better for straight line traction as a drag radial like the Toyo R888R, the NT05 is more of a road course tire. Also the NT05 does not come in a 315/30/20, only a 305/30 or a 315/35 and you do not want to run 35 profile tires on the rear as it completely screws over the ECU on the car. I ran them for about 10 minutes on a 305/35/20 555R Nittos and returned them right away. Same issue with the NT05R, no 315/30/20. Your only options in that 315/30 size are the Nittos or the Toyo's R888R and I went with the Nittos and matched the fronts with 265/35/20 555G2's as the 275/35/20 did not fit, they rubbed.

They are not bad at all, maybe 2-3db's louder than the oem Pirelli's if that. Windows up I hear nothing, windows down i hear the exhaust.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4s

Has anyone encountered any problem with the fact that these tyres although recommended by Michelin do not have the star marking on the sidewall? I am trying to get some at the moment but I am being told by the tyre supplier that this is a problem. My BMW dealer seems to think they are ok. Thoughts appreciated.

Currently I am using Pirelli tires with Porsche marking. It is no problem. I wrote to Pirelli and they gave me the specific tire pressure which differs from the OEM tire pressure mentioned on the door sticker.
