2014 BMW M6 CPO WRAP Warranty

Ok so I just transferred the CPO towards my name my coverage ends in 3 months.

Due to the nature and how expensive this car can be I’m willing to dish out around 2000$ which is what I’m expecting this will cost give or take.

I will probably add CPO Gold WRAP since cannot add PLATNIUM 7years,100k miles meaning I will have 2 years of coverage.

Will call BMW NA TOMORROW to see coverage.

I will purchase this due to peace of mind 2 years will be perfect as by that time I will get rid of car.

What do you guys think? I know these cars are reliable but a turbo failure or even small parts can rack up 1000$ in repairs easily, mind you I just paid 500 bucks for spark plug and coil literally which I found insane for 1 plug and 1 coil.
(At this time did not have CPO transferred takes a few weeks for them to approve)

I have always extended the warranty (purchased additional coverage/years) on my recent cars. And I will do so with the 6 series too when the time comes (in 2020). Reliable is one thing but none of us are inside there to know what happens or might happen. And as you state these cars can be filled with expensive repairs should something fail. Also if you happen to resell it during the warranty period it will have a bit more value that one without any type of coverage. So I would do that for sure if I was you.

Absolutely. At least in this way you leave nothing to chance.
Especially given the values of these cars and the higher costs of their respective parts you will rest much more assured when driving it.

9000$ for warranty on a 50,000$ car LOLIMGOOD.

Meh...$1000 a year is what you should budget for anyways for fixes without a warranty. So it's on par.

You got ripped off , a coil and spark plug is like a 1 hour job , the spark plug is like 10 bucks , another 150 (wholesale) for a coil . I normally work on all of my cars so for me it is pointless to pay for warranty

My 6 yr/160 CPO ran out on my S63 (2013 X6M) Nov 18... couple of sway bar links is all that I had fixed. As of today I’m at 98.8k (km)

As soon as it was out of warranty, changed all fluids, plugs and filters.

I’m looking for a 2014/16 M6 Cabrio...ordinarily, I wouldn’t nuy without Dealer CPO...

But I’m rethinking that although my friend with his 2013 M5 (S63TU) is glad he had CPO... as it took them all last summer to sort an oil leak. They pulled the engine twice... he lost the vehicle all last summer. BMW’ gave him an extra year of CPO coverage.
