6?

Parked behind this yesterday. It’s hard to believe that these are both 6 series. When I look at the X6 I can’t help but to think: Pontiac Aztec. I always thought of the Aztec as one of the ugliest cars ever made. But was it just ahead of its time? There are lots of ‘Aztecs’ out there today. From the Tesla X to this BMW to several other cars. The Aztec is dead: Long live the Aztec?

Well to be fair, as much as these looks have gotten more common, there's still plenty of people who find it ass ugly, myself included lol

Yeah, that SAV or SUV or car on stilts or whatever the heck it is has always seemed utterly pointless to me.

That x6 butt to me now actually looks nice compared to the new x4/x6.

The "6" that gets the distinction of the most ugly IMO is the 6GT.

Lol agreed, they managed to top it. Car reviewers/journalists love to talk about how people rag on new designs, only to grow into it in a few years and say they don't look that bad. Well maybe that's because in those few years even uglier things have come out (6 GT), making the previously putrid designs relatively less repulsive.

^^^^ So true. I'd like to know how the 5 series ditched this pig.

It started out as the 5GT...then when the the f06/f12/f13 were going into the end of their EOP (end of production)...BMW dumped this monstrosity into the 6 series nomenclature...why?

Because 6 is a higher number and they can charge more for it

. Seriously though this would've made more sense as a version of 5, even if it meant leaving the 6 lineup unused for future models. Not like the 5 lineup is clogged with coupes, convertibles, etc.

x6 is decent compared to the last iteration and much better than the Pontiac Aztec.

just my opinion.

but the 6gt i would never buy. and thats any gt bmw car. only thing good about the 6gt is the idrive and b58
