Anyone tried M8 wheels on the M6?

I wonder if they'd fit? Some of them look cool.

All BMWs released after the G11/12 (including the i3 and i8 actually) are 5x112 whereas all prior BMWs are 5x120.

So that'll be a no!

To save weight in the hub and to become more standardized with VAG and MB

As for the wheel designs, the only one I really like is the 863m M-Perf wheel, all of the other ones are too busy for me.

Yet another reason I have no interest in the new gen BMWs. They've lost all their design elements, their driving feel, manual transmissions, and now this!

Most Jap cars are 5x114.3 apart from some of the lower end or older Subarus that are 5x100. Interestingly Subaru did 5x114.3 for the top end STIs siting extra strength in the hub and wheel with the larger PCD

But if you're into something other than the standard silverish color, black, or anthracite/gray colors...the regular 8 series have frozen gold and a two toned wheel with frozen gold. Just sayin' if this is your cup of tea.

{763M}

{732M}

The only one I would go for is the 728M wheel...but that's because it looks similar to the 356 wheel used on the 5 & 6 series.

I do like the frozen gold. wonder how the width and offsets will apply to the M6.

I always knew that the initials for a Volkswagen Auto Group were VAG. But I never quite looked at it in the way that some of you have pointed out in this thread. Thanks for that. Now I can never look at it the same again.

Maybe I'll just buy a Volkswagen to say that I'm in a vag. So when I get a phone call while I'm driving my vag, I'll pick up the phone and say "pardon me, but I'm enjoying my time in a vag right now, so I cannot speak."

A vag is a terrible thing to waste. So don't get into an accident.

What color looks best on a vag? Never had the pleasure of being in a vag. I prefer my BMWs in blue or white. I'm not a big fan of red.

It's interesting that the grill gap on vag is horizontal but it's vertical on BMW. You would think it would be the other way around since the kidneys are usually horizontally spaced.

I wonder why vag started the trend of the larger opening in the front.

Cover that vag opening. (I know the pic is of a Ford Taurus)

I'm not for sure...but to adapt for the wheel bolt pattern difference (5x112mm versus 5x120mm)...you'd probably have to use wheel spacers which would need to be added to the wheel offset calculation.

Can't believe you missed a chance to say that they might perform differently at different times of the month and possibly leak oil for one week out of every 4.

Good one! Started a new thread for vag puns and jokes. It deserves its own thread! And I don't want to completely hijack OP's thread.
