Replacing the HEADLINER

Ive purchased a replacement headliner for my M6 GC as i liked the idea of one with a lovely orange stripe to match the exterior. However i spoke to my garage who are going to fit it and they said i would have to remove the windscreen to get it in lol - will have to if thats needed but anyone got any experience getting it in any other way? Thanks

no way. You just have to remove the driver seat. Have a look at TIS
Remove A-B-C pillar liner
Make-up mirror
Light
Sun shade
Edge protection
You remove the head liner through the fond door driver side.

That's a great looking headliner! Was wondering who was going to end up buying it. Post some before and after pics!

Photoshop reveal of my contrasting headliner

My new orange stripe headliner should arrive in the Uk from the USA in 6 weeks but I had my graphic designer help me visualize what it will look like by superimposing it on my car etc - I really like it.

Lol - its on a shared container which only goes once a month from Miami - missed the May sailing. Next one is mid June and takes 4 weeks to come across and get unloaded

I'd add a couple more weeks for the fumigation process -- and further inland transport logistics.

Yep, since it's coming in on a clipper ship, it's being delivered via canals and horse drawn carriage.

Also expect Brexit to cause your car to lose about 10-20% horsepower, if you haven't lost it already

Great to hear from you and sorry I haven’t posted much. European summers! I miss my car in the Uk as I’m back in Madrid until the end of August. I missed the initial shipment but it should be arriving now in the uk then I’m having it sent to my local BMW garage who said they would swap it over (that will be fun) so I’m hoping by mid September - I think it should look great. Hope you are enjoying your summer!
