Rocker panel rash
Bought a Tanzanite Blue M6 and noticed this crazy area behind the front wheels. It's like the area was sand blasted from road debris due to wide tires.
Have any of you dealt with? I am thinking respray rocker panels off car and PPF? Then figure out what to do about the car's panels. Not a fan of any respraying really. |

Since the front fenders are made of plastic...proceed with due diligence. The M6 has a carbon fiber roof which is not listed in the data in your other thread about "trunk material"...but the other panels I believe are listed correctly.

Detail it with full paint correction. Then apply PPF.
Ceramic coating does not protect paint! A lot of people think that it does and it's completely false. It's simply a longer-lasting semi hydrophobic coating. It just makes washing easier and waxing less frequently necessary. Think of it like a longer lasting wax. It will not protect rocks and debris at all. To really protect your car, you have to use PPF. |

Get DR ColorChip you put in your paint code and they send you a kit to remove road rash and chips a very easy DIY you can't mess up, it will look night and day when done, it doesnt fill the chips completely just hides them, the way it looks to me to make it perfect you need a respray, I would definitely try DR ColorChip

have it cleaned up as much as possible and see how you like it. if it is really bad, have it resprayed and get it xpel'd and ceramic coated. i did the whole car minus the doors trunk and quarter panels. the fender and rockers get a lot of punishment from when you corner with the MPSS or even Pzeros. the price thats paid with sticky tires
