BMW Mobility System Tyre Sealant

My 2014 M6 has in the boot (trunk!) an unopened BMW Mobility System bottle of jollop, which quotes a date printed on it of June 2018. It doesn't actually say so, but do I assume that's a 'use by' date?

Is this likely to still be in a perfectly useable condition now, or should I throw it out and buy a fresh new one?

Mine was replaced by the dealer just before the end of the warranty. I do not know whether that is normal practice though.

Yes, that is an expiration date. Buy a replacement canister.

Here’s a video that discusses the mobility kit in an BMW i8…which uses a separate sealant container from the compressor…he discusses the expiration date approx a minute and a half into the video.

If you have the other type of mobility kit where the compressor and sealant container is combined into a single case…then watch the video below to find the sealant expiration date (this is the mobility kit I have):

Thanks for replies. Will contact dealership after Christmas and order a replacement. I guess the liquid deteriorates even if the container hasn't been opened...
