Question Should I buy a modified car with minor damage?

Used 2016 BMW 650i Gran Coupe xDrive

The price is not cheap, but the car is beautiful. I am now worried about the depreciation since I plan to keep it for only one year(drive about 6000miles) and then sell it. I don’t want to lose more than $5,000 on this. I know that modified cars and cars with accident records are difficult to sell.

Should I buy it?

I personally would not buy a tuned and/or lowered car. And you are correct that the pool of buyers will shrink. You have to find just the right buyer or all that stuff lowers the price. I also personally would not buy a blue car with a red interior, but that's just personal taste.

One thing that car does have going for it is that it is truly loaded. It has both night vision and active cruise control. Those are both pretty rare options, for a car to have both is really rare.

Go buy what you want

I for one love buying modded cars, of course I think stock car are boring and made for grumpy old men

I agree with the buy if you like something but if you are worried about loosing 5k I would look for another brand.
My 640 was $88k. 3 years later and 29k miles, it was $41k.

It's super tempting... it's a beautiful combo and he seems to have done extensive mods, but the mileage is a little higher than I'd prefer

Stunner, clearly drag races on many occasions but a stunning car.
