Mirror Tap for radar not working

What am I doing wrong here. I am using a DIY for the F10 M5 that shows using the green wire for positive and brown wire for negative.

Tried multiple different taps at different angles, different sized etc and my radar wont power off the tap. I have done this on all my other cars and never had an issue before.

Mirror, homelink and rain sensor all work fine on the car.

Are these the wrong wires? Is that Tap not deep enough, I mean they are all the way in there, I tried both smaller and larger ones.

Try different size prongs if you have them. You might think it’s firm but my issue was that it wasn’t making contact. Try moving wire around with radar plugged in as well

The brown/black wire in the top right position is the ground. The brown/green wire in the bottom middle position is the 12 V switched

I tried several prong types and moved them all around. I guess I will keep trying, but I never had this much issue with any mirror taps. I did them on multiple E, F, and G series cars.

Yea, I just ordered some wire taps, I have some but I wanted smaller ones. Will try that this week.

Have you tested for power just to be certain you are trying to tap w/ something like this https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=...ECAUQDA&adurl=

I didn't, although I ordered one of those for the future!

I ended up tapping in the constant by the dome lights. Works fine now. Maybe there was just not enough power at the other wires, or for some reason, they are just different in the F10 vs the F06.
