Price finally got listed, $69,800. These cars will definitely see their values continue to rise.

$69 for a 2015 with 40k miles is not happening.

There was a 6-speed F10 M5 that recently sold in the 70s with 20k miles. This is the last of it's breed true German GT coupe with a manual transmission, and they are extremely rare. Maybe this price is aggressive BUT I don't see why their values wouldn't rise with how a lot of similar performance oriented cars with manual transmission have risen in the past months and years.

I can certainly see this car selling in the $50s.

Right now if you look at cars like the F430, a Murcielago, or even like an R8 V10 - the delta between manual and "auto" has grown exponentially. In the case of the F430, it is actually far more than it actually costs to convert the car because the F1 trans is basically a manual trans with a computer controlled shifting assembly attached. There is a company in Texas that is converting cars left and right. Look at what a 997.2 Turbo 6-speed sells for. It sells for more than a 991 Turbo or Turbo S with similar miles! I've started seeing E46 M3s (which I had) sell for $40k and more... not with 50 miles either, with decent miles, and ALWAYS in 6-speed. The SMGIII can also be converted to a traditional manual shift! Why the premium? A Cadillac CTS-V Wagon also came in a 6-speed but sold terribly new, now in the aftermarket - clean ones sell for almost MSRP. This is a car that last sold in 2014. I had one. The autos are significantly cheaper, but it's more difficult to convert on this car because you need a new trans, drive shaft, rear end, wiring, and more. It doesn't necessarily make dollars and cents, but it's clear that cars that weren't popular new, and even not popular used, when they have a manual transmission they are having a renaissance. There just aren't new cars coming in manual, and that has increased demand for older ones. Some people like much older ones, some people like newer ones. The F13 M6 is the last of it's breed, with only 60 examples world wide, and being a real M car that is actually really fun to drive with a 3 pedal gearbox, I think will only increase in value while their dual clutch counterparts see more traditional depreciation curves. Maybe this car is too expensive, maybe not. I'm just giving my two cents. -m

I think it will go in the 40's. I've been following this market for a while and even last year, people were having a hard time selling 2014s and 2015s manuals in the 40's. They finally did sell in the 40's. Some were asking 50's and it was crickets. And those were not modded like this one. Anytime someone drops the car like this one, I always assume they put the car to the limits at times.

I jumped on one that fell in my lap while ordering my wife's X7. Salesman knew a client that had it on a lease that was ending, so it never hit the lot.
It's probably the last big M car with an 6MT, so I don't foresee selling it any time soon. It took me 2 years of looking for one and it's amazing to drive. If I can find another, I might just buy it and store it for later, like I do when I find a pair of shoes I like! Put the service department through the ringer with warranty work. They probably put my name on a "do not sell a used car with a warranty" list. |

I’m willing to bet this would sell rather quickly... but that could be because i just bought it last week haha. I was going to post a “new member thread” like i usually do when I join a forum but i needed to find a post to reply to first to unlock my new account. Low and behold i come across this!
I’ve looked for a comp package 6 speed manual coupe for a very long time (about 2 years) but gave up looking after not finding one. Lucky me i was bored last week sitting at home and decided to see what was for sale and i luckily found this. It had all the major options i wanted (with the exception of the full leather package) and it was even the color i was hoping for. I figured that i would likely not find another one, i jumped at the opportunity. Hope to get to know everyone here a little bit over the coming years! |

Inpsite some of the negativity towards the price by other forum users I think you made a great buy. The car seems very nicely optioned and will be an amazing car.
One of the FIRST mods I recommend are the Rogue SSK and make sure to do the clutch bypass valve mod! Definitely improves the factory setup! Again, feel free to reach out and congrats again! -m

Thank you! You’ll likely be hearing from me in the near future! The car should be here on Thursday or Friiday (my shipper is leaving early Monday morning to pick it up). And in regards to the negativity, I like to think of it more as people expressing their opinion! I personally feel that it is a great buy and that’s all that matters to me! I haven’t the slightest clue as to the “Rougue SSK” or the “clutch bypass mod”, but i will look into those right away! Thank you again! |

The clutch valve bypass mod is common on many manual BMWs and even VWs/Audis. You'll find good info on it on the forums. It's perfect to do in conjunction with the SSK.

I suppose some day somebody will offer me a number I can't refuse for my 2016 M6 GC with a manual? My dealer sends me a letter every month with a deal on a new M5 Competition, and the trade-in they offer me is just depressing. But mine isn't for sale. 5 years and 45,000 miles and I still love it.

The letter that your dealer sent you is junk marketing. Their whole purpose is to get you to going in and buy another car. They don't necessarily really "want"your car, that the wording of the letter leads you to believe that your car somehow and high demand. The valuation they put in that letter is just an average trade-in value for the make, model and model year. They don't know your mileage or condition obviously. And you will see the price set on the letter likely builds in about a $5-$10k margin for them not to lose money on the trade. The last letter I got from my dealer put my M6 at $32k, or some ridiculous number. I know for a fact I can sell my car today at $42k. That's the margin that you see built into that price. It's just junk marketing email to get you to go inside the dealership to buy a car.
