19 inch wheels
Hello fellow 6 members... I'm looking for some m-sport 19 inch wheels. Tires not needed. TPMS is desired. Center caps a must. I currently have 20's on my 6 coupe and hate the low profile tire. PM me if you have anything.

While I like the look of larger wheels, I'm of the mind that we need to get back to more reasonable sizes. Even race cars have more sidewall on them, and they're dealing with much better asphalt.
For cars like the 6, which are essentially grand touring cars, they could really use quite a bit more rubber. I have the 19" M-Sport. With the RFTs it was completely unbearable. With non-RFTs (I went with Michelin A/S 3+ for all-season duty), it's night and day better. But had this been a few generations earlier, it would have had 16", 17" or at max 18", and I bet it would have been amazing riding. Take an e38 7-series as reference, and 16" or 17" was normal, with M-Sport giving you 18" wheels. It looked just fine - fantastic, in fact. But we kept creeping bigger and bigger, and now smaller wheels look "odd" to our eyes, now trained on larger wheels. But we've given up quite a lot in terms of comfort and ride quality in the process. Meanwhile, here in the US at least, our roads in major metro areas are only getting worse, so this trend makes even LESS sense.

I thought earlier that I was the only one thinking like this but not - nice !!!!
My winter 245/45/18" tire/alloy combination was hard like Rf and heavy (almost 60 pounds each), I went to a bit narrow and more soft tire and semi light alloy (combination dropped to under 50 pounds) and what a difference it made !!!!! What is critical with big everything is the weight, even the car is big the unsprung weight is always bad !!!! Quote:

I had to go to the database to see which one of the multiple 19" wheels for the f06/f12/f13 actually came with the "M" sticker (it was wheel style 351). Again, there are other 19" wheels that were offered and some of them were offered on other models (like the 5 series)...so you could also surf their classifieds for possible sales. If looking for 19" wheels...I would recommend to find the specific wheel style number...then shop using that style number. More owners use the wheel style number nomenclature vs just selling them by wheel size. If you only want the 19" Style 351...if you type "BMW wheel style 351" into a google search box...you should get lots of hits. You can do the same using the classified forums for the 5 & 6 series. My personal favorite 19" wheels in order of preference are:

Just another FYI...all of the BMW 19" wheels for the f06/f12/f13 (pictured above)...use the same center caps. So if you find a set that don't have them...you can use the same center caps from your 20s. The only reason for new ones would be if the ones you have aren't in good condition...and as someone mentioned above...center caps are easy to find/procure especially since the majority of BMW wheels use the same center caps. There are far fewer BMW wheels that use a different size center cap.

Would a 16" wheel even fit over the front brakes? My 18" Style 37 MPars just barely fits over the front brakes...I use them as my winter set-up.

BTW, I love the way the 18" winter wheel/tires feel (staggered Style 37 MPars with 245/45/18 in front & 255/45/18 in rear)...but love the way the 20" summer wheel/tires look (Style 356 with non run/flat 245/35/20 in front & 275/30/20 in rear). The higher tire sidewalls do make uneven pavement less jarring.
