Comfort open/close

Just curious as to whether or not there's a way to extend the range of comfort open/close via the fob? I like being able to drop the top and roll down the windows in my f12 before I get in it but I literally have to stand within 4-5 feet of the car for it to work. I've already coded the car to where there is no delay for either as well as auto mirror folding.

Without programming you just hold the button in for longer. After about 3 seconds the windows start to drop

Tried that already... No matter what, if I'm more than 5 feet from car it'll just lock and unlock doors

I can lock and unlock my doors on the convertible from a much farther range than lowering the top or windows. I feel like it's some kind of configuration in the coding to possibly check for signal strength (Total guess no factual info behind that.) I agree, you have to be pretty much standing next to the car for it to work.

There is a module that lists one of its features as allowing you to drop the top from the same range as the lock/unlock so I really do think its the car deciding based on your distance. (https://www.vividracing.com/smarttop...151451247.html)

I don't own that module nor have I ever used it or heard any feedback but it might help answer your question.

Not worth $379 IMO. Thanks for the reply, it's more or less just curiosity on my part.

This is an easy one...the instructions are in your owners manual. To quickly find the pages...go to the index to find the pages where "convenient open" & "convenient close" are discussed.

And if you have comfort access you can also press & hold your finger on the door handle location...this is also covered in the owners manual.
