No more A/S 3+

Michelin has discontinued the A/S 3+. I know this because I had been struggling to find a replacement for on of my rear tires. At 18,000 miles, the rears are more than half worn. The fronts are at about 60-75%. My dilemma: Do I replace the two rear tires and keep the fronts for the next 20k or so? Or do I say screw it and get all new tires. Like The new Pilot Sport 4s.

Difficult to say going by the percentages. If rears are just below 50% and fronts are nearer 60, just hang on until they're all a bit more worn.

If not, I'd just do the rears.

As long as both as they're the same on each axle, doesn't really matter. By teh times the fronts need doing, you'll probably up for new rears anyway, so do all 4 then

Pretty much what I decided. With new rears, I’ll probably get at least 20k, which will take two years. Lol!

I'd keep an eye out for a single spare wheel that is the same diameter and will fit on your car, buy that and put one of your front tyres on it as a full sized spare. I have done that and used one of my old fronts - I put it in whenever I go on a long trip. That way I still might get to use the front without it being a complete waste!
