Exactly. They are anal about their border and illegal immigrants living in their country. Living in the wilderness is basically impossible when it gets cold without a lot of preparation. Even mid country like Virginia the winter has snow and ice and the temp is 25-50 degrees F. Not easy to live in the woods.

Head towards the equator. Live on some tropical island or go to Thailand etc. Someplace you can disappear. The problem is you have to 100% give up your life, family, etc. never contact them again. Live on the run. Never tell anyone your real history of where you are from etc. Stay off the internet to a large degree. Zero social media. It's very hard to disappear now a days. I think very few people can do this and a 24 yr old kid from Florida likely does not have the skills to live on their own in the wilderness. Even in a major city he has no real skills so manual labor basically. He can't use a social security number. He has to basically work for cash.

Good points. I heard once that if you can sneak yourself in, Brazil is one of the easiest countries to get lost in.

How do you vanish here? The idea is to vanish and you cannot do that in an organised society, you need a place that's a bit nuts.

Brazilian girls are wild and the easiest. Also the dumbest so if he gets lost there, it’ll just take one girl to fall victim again.

I know you're in the business, ever talk to the guys over at Lakewood Collision?

On topic: I'm confident this guy is dead and may never be found.

Cool! Yes Paul is a super good guy.

Any chance you know a guy named Dave that works for a major insurance company that would stop in from time to time? He's in the field and covers that territory, I was up in Pinellas.

Dave Rodriguez, from Travelers. If so hes my man! Great guy.
Did you happen to know John Kellner? Also worked for Travelers and retired right before COVID.

You nailed it.

Yes I am very good friends with both of them. I talk to Dave at least a couple of times per week. I'm sure Kelner is enjoying retirement, he certainly paid his dues.

Interesting. Maybe he is still out there after all. I'm jumping to conclusions, but if that's him he's obviously on the run and it's highly likely he murdered at least one person. I hope they find him ASAP.

I chatted with Dave last Thursday but haven’t seen John since he retired. Keep hoping to bump into John around town one day. Small world

Sure is.

Back on topic: FBI confirms remains found are her, and they are calling her death a homicide.

Wonder if the other two bodies found murdered out there were his handiwork? Haven't heard anything about them...

Sad and weird story, but would society and the media really care if it wasn't a cute young white girl? Me thinks not.

Yes, I would for one. This is a strange story in many ways, although some are getting resolved as more info/evidence comes to light.

Young woman on dream trip with fiancé goes missing far from home (seems these are usually close to home/college). Had police encounter which is on bodycam shortly before she went missing. Boyfriend returns home with her vehicle, making no contact with her parents nor authorities, but does hire an attorney. Then disappears himself. Meanwhile other campers with camera footage suggest location for her, and a day or so later her remains are found in that vicinity. Cops lose him, saying they had no basis to follow him closely until there was a crime and he was a suspect. Search for him as missing person but come up empty. Etc.

It is an intriguing story and would be regardless of the gender, hair color, race or other attributes of the victim.

Also very noteworthy is that her family played social media perfectly, with FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram and others which brought prominence to the case and helped get those passer-by videos. Perhaps being young and blond helped garner some of that attention - the family posted plenty of pictures of her as a teen and young adult.

And for me, the story is somewhat local in that it was on the news here early (I’m in FL), and I’ve been to the various places where this couple were in the last couple of years, so caught my attention more than most similar stories.

I was thinking the same thought. I would hope that society has gotten better ans that we care about all ethnicities, but I don’t know if we are there yet.

I think it more had to do with the strange circumstances and events that happened in the case as 2000cs said, that's what drew me in. Didn't care that she was a pretty white girl.
