Am I alone this? We do a little research and go out and spend $75-$125K on a car. But when it comes to a leaf blower for $200-$400 we spend countless hours/days on research and comparison shopping and can't pull the trigger?

LOL!! You’re so right! I bought my GC within an hour of seeing it - and then did all of my research. Since then, I’ve been researching like crazy for my next ride. I’m still vacillating between the M850i GC and the B8. And since the movie is at least a year out, I’m not even sure I’ll be getting another gas powered car.

I did my homework before buying. I downloaded and read through all the ordering and pricing guides so that I understood what was standard and what was an option or in an option pkg. I read reviews, I watched Youtube videos...then searched ads for almost a year looking for examples that met my criteria.

I even drove about 2 hours away to check out the f06 I eventually purchased. I walked away from it because we couldn't agree on price. Then about 1½ months later...they dropped the price...and that's when I went back with a check in hand to buy it.

I spent 8 months hunting down my 6. Drove to just about every dealer from San Diego to Ventura. The thrill of the hunt was great.

Haha very true. I bought my ex 650i they day after seeing it at a dealership where I was actually looking at a Jaguar XJ hahaha. By comparison I spent 2 weeks agonising over which gas powered lawnmower to buy

Hee hee, I know the pain.

Although, I did the research on my 6 too. First which engine then it culminated with me knowing *exactly* which features/color combo/everything I wanted. And after 7 months of patiently looking, I flew to Miami and drove my new baby back to Phoenix.
Couldn't be happier!

I do find it that as I grow older that i do less research… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
