Hello everybody.
I have a stock 640d, still.
I do not see the chrome parts/rings in the front bumper so often in the pictures here, was it a special option of it is the base versionw without any m packages?
Also i see that there are 2 different types of the reflector position on the rear bumper. One type is right under the tail lamps, the second one(like on my car) is in the middle of the bumper, does it depends of the country?

Hello, and welcome.

Your chrome rings on the front bumper are due to it being LCI (aka “life cycle impulse” aka “face lift”) bumpers for the non M six series (base models). The same for your rear bumper…the reflector light’s different position is due to it NOT being an M-bumper. It’s not country specific…simply optional difference based on M pkg option or not.

Thank you for the explanation.

BTW, what color... is it one of the BMW black colors? Sapphire, Carbon, or one of the dark grays?

My 2009 650i

I bought this a few months ago now, a 2009 E63 650i Edition Sport FSH. The colour is Carbon Schwarz with Dakota Creambeige leather. It's my second 6er, the first one was the 635d. The 635d was nice, fast and fun, but the 650 is far better. I love the colour the V8 sound track and the performance. I can even get an average of 32.5mpg on a long journey.

There are a few jobs I need to do, but the most urgent for me is having the wheels refurbished. The previous owner got plenty of curb rash on them which spoils the look a little.

Here’s my gran coupe. Have had it for a couple years now, got a bunch of stuff done to the interior, exterior, engine, braking, xDelete/xHP Trans tune/bm3 engine tune. Pretty much all work done by me except for spraying paint. I’m not a mechanic but have been working on cars/bikes my whole life and with the help of this forum I’ve been able to accomplish ALOT!

Having a difficult time letting her go, haven’t kept a car this long but can’t really find a replacement I’d want over this. Probably go m8 route…

2020 BMW X5 40i  [10.00]
1988 E24 M6  [8.25]
Not sure if E24 Pics are welcome but here we go!

Just over a year ago, I picked up a 1988 E24 M6 with 52K miles on her. Two owner (I'm third but original got repossessed like 3 months after owning her then other owner babied her). Since then I've tried to restore her to original as best as I could. She needed a new master clutch, oil sensor, thermostat, and a full flush for her age, but other than that she has been flawless and beautiful. I haven't seen many people posting E24 on here, I might start a new thread to find others. I know here in the SLC valley that there are at least 2 others that have e24 M6, but mine seems to be the lowest miles so far. Anyone else live around here?

My 2016 650i Gran Coupe

Here's a picture of my 2016 650i Gran Coupe in Melbourne Red Metallic. I purchased it in the summer of 2020 with a little over 11,000 miles on it, so it was like buying a new car. This is my 6th BMW since 1987. What a great car to drive - especially on long road trips.

Just got my standard wheels refurb'd with satin bronze, really pleased with them.
Excuse the crappy picture, the weather is grim in the UK right now.
