Prospective 640d buyer. Child seat question

Hi guys
I’m a fairly long standing beemer fan, had a couple of 3 series and 1 series and now looking for a nice motorway cruiser mainly, so a 640d fits the bill.
Ive still got to get my 6 and 5 year old girls in the back occasionally though and the rear seats look fairly tight. Does anyone know of Isofix child seats that work particularly well with the 6 series rear seats please?
Would also take advice on how easy it is to get the kids in the back of a coupe vs the Gran Coupe
Thanks in advance

I sold my e63 coupe because it was a pain getting child seats in the back. There was no issue with the seats fitting, it's just a pain to reach back from the front doors. If you've got kids I would 100% go for a GC, it will make your life so much easier!

As above mentioned by Mammoo, would definitely go for the GranCoupe - from what I've read, backseats in the coupe alone are tight enough for adults.

With my GranCoupe and upcoming addition to the Family, my wife said in order for us to keep the car the child seat has to be an easy one to use. We ended up going for the Maxi Cosi 360 Pebble or something along those lines? It's a 360 in-base twist and I also believe when facing outward towards the door, it has a pull out feature before unclipping from the base.

I will say this though and it's a problem I might see once we start using it, the shape of the back door will make it problematic with poking your head through and avoiding banging it at the top of the roof. Also something I am personally looking to get is some sort of leather protection from in-dents as the 6 series has some very bucket hugging backseats.

Thanks chaos. This has been very useful. I wasn’t particularly fussed either way but now I’ll be actively seeking out a GC rather than the coupe. Anyone know any decent 640’s for sale around the £12k mark??

It's not the easiest to get in and out with the car seats for our 3 and 5 yr old in our grandcoupe. Manageable, but tight. I cant imagine how difficult and inconvenience it would be with the coupe.
Also, if youre over 6'0" tall, you will need to adjust the seat for the to have enough room to climb in on the driver side

If you are about 190+cm tall, almost no traditional carseats will fit even in GC.

You can try mifold one if any.
