BimmerCode features

Any recommendations for BimmerCode features? So far I've managed to do the following:

1) Turn off auto stop function
2) Close side mirrors upon lock
3 Remove warning startup message on Idrive
4) Remove seatbelt warnings.

Thanks

I made it so the doors unlock when I shut off the car so that I don't need to do the double handle pull to open the door, and I made it so that the iDrive shuts down when I open the door not when I lock the car, and I got rid of the empty screen when you scroll through functions with the button on the end of your turn signal stalk - average mpg, average mph, today's date, etc. One space is just blank. I got rid of that. And I did a couple goofy things like playing DVD movies while driving and having my side view cameras enabled at any speed.

And I also set it to show the temperatures of my tires as well as pressure.

If you open the app...you can open the demo mode (and go through each module) to see what coding parameters are available in each module.

You can then connect to the car, and go to those modules that contain things that YOU want to code that fit your personal preferences.

If you have a battery charger...you could also hook it up to the engine bay terminals...then sit in the car connected to the app and your OBD adapter (or cables) and go through each module to see what can be coded and code to your hearts content without worrying about running the battery down.

Depending on your model/model year and the modules and options you have...there are so many things that can be coded. I can't even remember everything that I've coded...the list below are the ones that come to mind without thinking hard about what's been done:
  • Lighting - welcome lights front & rear/door handles in reverse/brake force display/fog lights w/brights/turn indicators 5 blinks
  • Locking/unlocking - windows up w/remote + sunroof close, unlock upon shut down, iDrive shut down when doors open
  • TPMS temp & pressure
  • sport display
  • Turned off multiple warnings
  • Changed temp of heated seats in low/mid/high

You can also peruse the coding forum threads to get an idea of the many things that can be coded...but when reading those threads...you need to take note of the model/model year etc that is being coded because you may not have the same set-up.

I code mine for the first time about an hour ago. Got rid of the camera warnings and turned on the option to fold the mirrors in on lock. Also got rid of the blank screen Opie55 mentioned.

I would like to add one more tid bit to Q's (as usual) informative post. If you latch the drivers seatbelt (as if you were driving), that will prevent the car from going dark.

Make sure not to change the DRL settings - other members on here have posted issues with their headlight LEDs yellowing by messing with these settings

Hi guys, I accidentally disabled the blind spot indicator on the side mirrors. Anyone know where in BimmerCode to reactivate?

Here’s what bummer code supports. I don’t see anything for blind spot. Did you accidentally deactivate via the button left of the steering wheel?

Were you doing regular coding...or did you go into expert mode to do coding?

But as mentioned above...just check the panel below your light switch to see if you deactivated this option. On the f06/f12/f13...blind spot is activated/deactivated by an easy on/off switch & not buried in the safety intelligent switch or iDrive like in some other F chassis models...and it is not something you code on or off since there’s a dedicated switch for this feature if the car has this option. If the green LED on the far left of the switch is not illuminated...then just press the button on the far left to turn that feature back on.

All good. The light was off. My bad. 😅

Thanks all. Thought I mucked it up.

I appreciate all your feed back. Only had the car for a week and I'm loving it.
