steering upgrade coding help

for my 2017 640 I upgraded steering wheel. old steering wheel has distance adjustment buttons as per picture on left side, new steering wheel has blank buttons which I changed from buying blue buttons from amazon, buttons now clicks the way it supposed to be but feature is not working. anyone here has suggestion on what to code for lane distance adjustment to work? I have dimmer feet pro tool. thank you in advance

You bought buttons, but is the wiring for the buttons present? And what is a "dimmer feet pro tool"?

I'm not sure if you can just swap out the blank plastic buttons. Have you checked whether you have to also swap the PC board? I have a feeling it should work automatically with no coding if you purchased the correct button configuration including the electrical board.

Below is an image I got from the place I purchased my M6 steering wheel and he had all the different configurations for plug and play no errors (I red boxed the one you need). Can't you check with the shop you purchased the steering wheel from if the PC board under the buttons has to be programmed?
