I'm looking to paint my brake calipers. I need to do all 4 calipers at the same time so I need to get my car on jack stands and get all 4 tires off.

The manual shows just two jack points on either side of the car. See attached picture.

I want to get the car up and the jack stands on each of those points. Except where jack points are the underneath is pretty buttoned up so it is difficult to see where it would be safe to either jack up to put the jack stands on the jack points, or jack up on the car jack points and to know where it is safe to put the jack stand.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Quick edit - found mention of a front jack point online but the manual does not list it. I think I found it but I would love some confirm...!

There is no reason why you have to do all at the "same time". Jack up one side and do the calipers and then jack up the other side and do those.

I'm doing them all at the same time as I'm using the G2 product - I could split the paint and activator but I'm trying this first. I

Okay - got it. There is no rear center jack point, so here is how to do it:

1. Use front side jack point and lift side of car up - put jack stand under rear side jack point. Let car down.
2. Opposite side - jack up on front jack point - put jack stand under rear jack point. Let the car down.
3. Use front center jack point and lift front end up - put jack stands under front left and right jack points. Let car down.

First times are such a pain in the ass and time consuming...!

Hope this helps.

I went with the G2 paint system. I wanted red, but not fire engine red, so I picked up G2's Red Fire from their Mustang line. Here's the end result (still needs to cure). I am SO happy with this!

Just my theory, but I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a solid jackable point even in the back, under the subframe, like almost any other bmw series.

Need to lift the car and do a close inspection next time, to confirm my hypothesis.
Should facilitate the jacking up operation.

Final photo result with the stunning wheels on?

That color is perfect. I had my shop paint mine thinking it was just a waste of time, but so worth it. Keeps everything clean and looking nice. I just did a dull grey thinking it would never be seen, but that red is exactly what I would have gone for seeing it now and living with it myself.

I'm sure there is a place to jack it up in the back, but with most everything covered it was difficult to tell. Luckily with 5 jack points and a bit of thought it worked out!

There is a center front jack point that will lift the entire front end up. Once you do that, you can put jack stands on both sides on the front side jack points. Once that is done, you have the entire car up in the air on jack stands.

To taken the car down, just follow the steps in reverse.

Here are a couple of pics that show what the center jack point looks like.
