Whilst conducting my charcoal delete and AFE dry drop-in installation, I found traces of oil, similarly to OP, but on the driver's side of the engine bay.
Can anyone help identify as to why this is happening, and how to prevent (besides catch cans) this issue going forward? Also, how are you all plugging the extra holes in the airbox which sucks air in from the engine bay? Wanted to refresh the post so that I can approach the problem strategically. Thanks, H |

I take mine apart from time to time and wipe the oil out ,The PVC valves are ducted right into the intake it’s what to expect , it was the only place they can put them to pass emissions, BMW don’t care if the whole intake system is full of oil , if it gets bad , it will coat the turbo housings and intercoolers with oil , Oil catch cans can remedy this
