I'm using the BMW oe all weather rubber mats for the GC. When dirt/snow/mud/dried salt from melted snow gets too much...just a simple hosing off gets them clean again. Plus I like that they stay pliable/soft even in freezing temps and also work with the Velcro anchoring system to prevent movement:

I'm the rare weirdo who drives a 650i convertible 365 days a year in Colorado and uses the original ivory carpeted mats year round. Whatever they make those from cleans pretty easily. They look new when I clean them. I just don't like the look of black rubber mats. I think they are ugly. I'd rather buy new carpeted mats now and then.

Hmmm, you raise another point to consider...which would be the color of the carpet & original mats.

If you have the anthracite/black carpet...the oe f06/f12/f13 specific rubber mats (ordered from the part database) have a textured design and sort of blend-in giving a "textured" look when you first open the doors.

BMW also sells rubber mats that are sold in the parts department that are kind of like the "generic" version...which have a slightly different design and come in multiple colors (black/gray/sand). And you also have the aftermarket rubber mats:

Then there are the "liners" which I believe are manufactured by WeatherTech and have the BMW label slapped on them.

If you have light colored carpet, then using the anthracite/black all weather mats or liners...will give a slight different look due the contrast. If you use the all weather mats that are colored...then that will give a slightly different look.

Then there's always the velour carpeted mats, too.

I use original velours mats all year round. I replace them with new ones every 2 years usually. Though I find the original ones from BMW too thin in texture and prefer some aftermarket options which are of thicker and better velour type/quality.

that's correct. Weathertech is the OEM manufacturer of BMW liner style mats as well as standard all-weather low wall mats. Weathertech however offers a few more varieties than BMW depending on the model.

IMO, there's not proprietary about any of these mats. Just pick the one that provides the best coverage based on your needs.

Not bad... quality is decent and they are better than the old ones from the previous owner.
Will take some more pics at night, that will be a nice subtle touch.....

My brother lives in Parker. Whenever I visit in the winter and it snows I am amazed by how much of a mess the sand makes that you put down instead of the sand mixture we have in Mass. I salute you for keeping it clean through all that.
