Passenger side power window inop

2015 F12. 16,500 miles. Did a GPS update without vehicle running. Lights were on auto. Came back after 2 hours to find battery dead. Jump started car from under hood. Roof was down when this happened.

I used the all up and down button several times for the windows and all worked. A few days later I put the roof up for the first time since jumping car. Now passenger door window is inop. Window went partially up then stopped. I went over and gently pulled up on window while using pax door switch. Window went up the rest of the way to the door open position. Since then no movement or motor noise at all. I have used driver and pax door switches. I have put top up and down. No movement of window when door opened.
Questions
1. Is there an individual fuse for this door?
2. If not communication or power how do I know which item to change. Motor or regulator?

Thanks for the help

My experience is not with a convertible, but I had a similar problem with my passenger side window. I re-initialized it and it has not had any problems since.
good luck

When you write that you re-initialized it what do you mean?

At any point have you hooked up a battery charger to compensate for the deep discharge that occured? If all you did was the quick jump start...you may still be dealing with a discharged car battery.

And if GPS update means that you updated your nav maps...if you were using a thumb drive...in the future, you can just shut the car off. The map update will stop and then resume where it left off upon the next startup.

I used BimmerLink to reset it. The original symptom was that it would not move regardless of which door switch I used or which remote. With Bimmerlink, I reset the fault and then went through the recallibration. AFAIR it was raising the windows and hold the for i think was 5 secconds after it was completely closed and do the same for the open position. I may be wrong on the hold time but I do not think it is critical.
Good luck.

Try to reset the power window anti trap… even if window won’t move:

With the ignition in the “On” position, roll down the affected window all the way (continue to depress if the window stops), then hold for 5-10 seconds. Then, roll the affected window all the way back up, then hold for 5-10 seconds.

Before I go and open the door panel I would like to check for faults. Will bimmerlink allow me to reset faults? Can I use a wireless OBD? Which OBD’s are recommend?
Thanks in advance
Tom

Here’s a link to the BimmerLink website. Scroll down to see what it does what vehicles are supported, screenshots from the app, and what OBD II ADAPTERS they recommend to use with their software based on which platform (IOS/Android) you use and what BMW models or other car models you may want to use it for: https://bimmerlink.app/

As Qsilver7 said, check out Bimmerlink. I had the same problem in my M6GC and was about to tear things apart but decided to try Bimmerlink to see what was wrong. There was an error ( I think it was something , which I reset and then just went through the initialization procedure. 5 minutes vs five hours... Give it a try
