Replacement Reverse Camera

So, I purchased a used '19 g32 (640GT), and my reverse camera has stopped working. I took the camera out and it is looking like the connecter may be the issue.

I wanted to replace the connecter, but don't want to wait two weeks for it to come in (the dealer states that the part will have to be special ordered)

Can anyone tell me if they know if it would be possible to use an aftermarket replacement camera without having to run the cable and possibly having to re-code a camera?

any suggestions???

Just posting in case anyone else has this issue.

So I ordered a camera connector from Ebay. I will let you guys know if it works or if i will go and order a replacement camera.

As you've already discovered, parts for our cars never seem to be in stock in N. America.
My front passenger window was shattered by vandals who like nice stuff but can't afford their own nice stuff.
It took 6 weeks for a replacement window to arrive from Germany, so a connector in two weeks seems like nothing to me.

BTW, since our windows have no frames, a cardboard/duct tape/plastic bag patch won't stay put above 75kph (~47mph). My spouse had to sit in the back seat the entire time to be my side view mirror and blind spot coordinator.

Let us all know if the replacement connector works OK.

Well today's the day I throw parts at my 640.. Thinking of filming my process, but im sure there are plethora of videos already.

It turns out the camera was the issue. I will close this thread with one piece of knowledge:
Apparently, BMW made in the US, use a different connecter then the one I ordered in (which came from Europe).
