Known Issues with 2013-2014 M6? Plz Advice

Hello Guys,

So i have sold off my Cayenne, and currently riding the 2nd car Audi TT that i will eventually get rid of as well (thanks to an engine blown off at 17k miles yesterday) & i think i will follow my heart which has always been stuck at ///M6.

I am thinking of getting a used one --> perhaps 2013 or 2014 with <20k miles/Automatic Gearbox/HK Sound & hopefully loaded (Competition Pkg etc if there is good). However, since i have never owned a V8/V10, i wanted to check with you folks if it's worth the hassle to buy an added maintenance package considering if i get a 2012 M6 (warranty running out in 2016) and so forth...

Please share your insights on things that i shall watch out for?

My apologies in advance as i don't clearly remember when BMW M division did not launch a newer model of M6 for 2 years after 2010.

I'm not sure if there is any 2012 M6 Coupe in US. F13 M6 (Coupe) was produced in 2012 for Europe and I guess the first M6 arrived in US as 2013 model... maybe F12 M6 (Convertible) has 2012 model in US ??!!... In addition, Competition Package was introduced for 2014 model so basically if you are looking for 2013 model it does not have CP. Also 2013 did not have HK; however there are many M6 with optional B&O out there if you are interested. My car is 2013 and I have not had any major issue except the common squeaky noise issue which is the result of heavy weight and high performance brakes many people have experienced. Overall M6 is a reliable car...

So basically my question is for US 2013 M6 Coupe Model if you found any issues other than the one's you mentioned
