Is 200,000 miles too many for a reliable purchase on a BMW series 5 GT

I'm just test drove a 5 series GT and it seemed very solid and something I'd be interested in buying. The only real issue is that it has 212,000 miles on the clock.

I know this is a crazy amount for a 2014 car, but it https://shagle.download felt like such a solid ride....

Is it worth it for long https://omegle.ws term purchase?

If the engine is in good health, it’s not a scary thing. My 2014 have 319K miles and it still drives very well. I don’t drive it as much since I have a new car. I’d recommend having a mechanic performing a PPI. Not a PPI service where they just show up to the car and check on the spot but a mechanic looking over it like a full diagnostic with compression test just to make sure.

BMW when new already have one of the highest cost of ownership in the first 5 years compared to other luxury brands. So unless the previous owner(s) we’re on point with maintenance and have every single receipt since 2014, I wouldn’t do it.

Old BMW's cost so much to service that you could drive a new one for less. If you want a high mileage car buy a Toyota. Honestly my 2007 Toyota 4runner with 257,000 miles has been more reliable than my 2018 BMW 640 GT with 20,000 miles.

I'm sorry to say that a high mileage BMW is just a pile of old unreliable parts waiting to fail. These cars are fantastic and I love mine but so many things can go wrong.
I had expensive repairs while under BMW warranty (fortunately no cost to me.)
I would make sure I had an amount set aside equal to the purchase price for repairs.
A warranty might help if available.
A PRE-purchase checkup by a reliable mechanic would be worth the money.
Asking price should be very low.
Good luck

I had a 5 series GT and gave it to my brother-in-law with about 120K miles on it. A fair amount of work was done under warranty including the air suspension. He's a ex Audi mechanic so he can fix anything. Great car when it's running well and it has over 200K at this time. I wouldn't buy a German car out of warranty unless you really know what your getting into...Good luck
