Carbon Fiber Diffuser Installation Question

Hey 6'er Fam, I installed a 1 piece carbon diffuser on my 2014 650i M sport.

First question -
How do I secure the bottom of the carbon diffuser?

Second question - Do I need to install the adapter that goes behind the bumper (picture attached).

After putting the bumper back on it fell a little flimsy by the license plate, I think its because I didn't put the adapter back which has two black fixing plugs the attaches the bumper to the adapter behind the license plate.

Hope this makes sense.
